Very welcome gift that fit well to size.Still to give them a full test run (hills/countryside paths/general off- road wanderings) etc,but so far so good as I break them in on terra firma.
Sale price very appealing.
brilliant walking boots. recommended to friends and family.
one boot fitting perfectly the other rubbed really badly at the side of my ankle also laces are not good e
enough as they come undone flat laces would be better for grip
Replaced worn out Pelly, great boots but the synthetic band (welt) split where they flex. Creston very comfortable out of the box, lacing not as good as Pelly but looks better. Northwest don't seem to be carrying much stock, it took months to see boots in size 9.
I’ve done a couple of short walks in these shoes so far and found them really comfortable.
I had to take the inner soles out, so I could put my orthotics in. My husband is now using them in his walking shoes as they’re more comfortable the ones he originally had in his shoes!
I’ve not tested the waterproofness of the shoes as I’m a fair weather walker.
Great shoes, great colour, great price and they come with spare laces and a dust bag.
Fair to say they have surpassed my expectations. Leather treatment done before use and they are completely waterproof no issues in wet fields walking the dog, decent all round grip and warm but breathable. I’m going to have one boot stretched by a cobbler but this is due to my foot and not the boots.
Very pleased with the quality of product
So far so good supporting this British company. Bit of a punt to buy online as no option to view in-store prior to purchase (may be something NWT could consider via major Mountain Warehouse or Decathlon stores). Comfortable fit, particularly insole and fit to size. I’d say a medium fit rather than narrow or wide. Spare laces are a nice touch. Feel well made but UK winter weather will be the real test hence 4 star. Happy purchaser.
Love the boots. This is the 3rd pair I've purchased from Northwest. My favourites are still my earlier Pelly boots. I agree with comments by others, i.e. the laces aren't the best quality. However, included in the box were a 2nd pair of laces, so problem solved. Note that all the boots I've purchased from Northwest have, in my opinion, insufficient arch support, therefore I've purchased inserts to make them more comfortable. In summary, a good pair of boots for the price
