Lovely shoe, just not a good fit for me.

I really liked the look of this shoe, and have had Northwest Territory boots for years, so thought I would get these. Sadly for me, they are a little tight on the width, and I got the impression they would rub my ankle bone with the height around the ankle. They may give with time but I didn’t want to take the chance so have set a return in motion. I don’t want to order the next size up as it was the width rather than length that was my issue. Such a shame for me but don’t let it stop you from trying.

Was looking for replacement walking shoes, had a pair of northwest territory boots. Seemed well put together, gave good foot support so expected their shoes also to give good support. A decent reduction in price decided to order and pleased how quick they arrived. 1st outing they felt good and been pleased with them every day since walking fields and streets. Hopefully they stand up to the wet which is still to be discovered. Many walking shoes and boots claim to be waterproof sadly many fail after a few weeks fingers crossed these stand up to the job.

Great and affordable boot!

The shoes came very well presented. I didn't have any time to break them in before doing 2 x 10km undulating hikes and they were incredibly comfy - no blisters or chafing around the ankle, I was able to navigate climbing over rocky boulders as well as narrow ledges, feeling these shoes were an extension of my foot rather than a chunky walking boot.

They don't offer too much arch support, but there was plenty of room to adjust and make them more customisable if one regularly wears insoles. I would recommend to my patient's as a good pair of boots if they had a neutral foot type/ overpronation or -supination with the addition of an insole/ fair arch strength.

Fell apart the first time I wore them.

One of the eyelets broke the first time I wore the boots out on a gentle stroll in the beach. No reply from customer services to my requests for a replacement or refund. Poor quality product and the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.

Sizing?

I'm a big fan of NW Territory boots and recommend them to others. My first pair of Inuvik boots were comfortable straight out of the box and lasted me 10 years.
BUT... I have an issue with the Sachs boots. I bought 2 pairs in my usual size (black and brown) last autumn, just to wear as sturdy, smart boots and I love the look of them, but they feel at least a size tighter than the Inuvik design. I really struggle to get them on - with the original insoles, it's impossible. Unfortunately, I find myself avoiding wearing them. Why do size 11 Inuvik boots fit perfectly, with thick walking socks and the size 11 Sachs boots feel uncomfortable even with thin socks?

Wonderful, comfy boots

This is probably my third or fourth pair of these boots. Since my husband bought me a pair about 13 years ago, they're my Go-to boots every time I wear them out. And I do a LOT of walking. Really comfy right from the word Go.
